We are recruiting for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established mixed animal practice in Leek, Staffordshire. The practice is looking for a Vet with at least 2 years' experience.

The Practice:

This is an independent mixed practice, who are proud of their traditional values and dedicated team of 10 full time and 2 part-time Vets. They are the only local Veterinary Surgery to offer their clients an in-house out of hours emergency service. Facilities and services include:-

  • Modern and well-equipped surgical and diagnostic facilities
  • Digital X-ray
  • Endoscopy
  • Ultrasound
  • ECG
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Eye tonometry
  • Dentistry
  • In-house laboratory services

The Role:

This is a mixed role (65% large animal/35% small animal). Working hours are Monday to Friday between 08.30-18.00 with weekends on a rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays 08.30-13.00 plus on-call. Midweek, you will be part of an on-call rota of 1 in 8. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including an accommodation allowance, subject to experience.

The Candidate:

You should have a least 2 years' experience and be confident working in a mixed animal practice. You will be joining a large team of experienced Vets, Nurses and support staff, so good team skills are desirable.


Role: Permanent Full-time Veterinary Surgeon

Hours: Monday to Friday between 08.30-18.00
