We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, independent practice situated in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Established in the 1980s, our client is an independent 100% small animal practice who also occasionally take on patients from the local wildlife charity. The practice has been modernised and is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities including but not limited to blood pressure monitoring, X-Ray, ultrasound, ECG, in-house laboratory, dental equipment, hospitalisation facilities and an in-house pharmacy. The practice has on and off road parking and is close to a local park.
You will be joining a team of 3 Vets - 2 Part-time, 1 Full-time, 1 Nurse and a receptionist. They work well as a team and continually update their knowledge and skills to provide the best service to their clients and patients
The position is flexible depending on your needs but will be up to 40 hours per week. The shifts are a mixture of 10:00-19:00, 8:30-16:00 or 9:30–15:30. The weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8:30–12:00, with no out of hours. You will be required to participate in a mixture of general nursing and reception duties.
The ideal candidate will be client led, level-headed, friendly and confident with all duties as there may be some sole charge nursing responsibilities. There will always be a Vet on hand but you may be the only nurse on duty. The team pride themselves on being able to have fun but also be professional. The care of the client and pets are the main priority of the practice. For the right candidate, Head Nurse progression may be available.
In return, our client is offering:
- Competitive salary of between £18,000 and £25,000 per annum dependent on experience
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
