We are working with a client with a mixed animal practice based near Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. They are looking for a Full-Time Mixed Vet 50% Small Animal and 50% Large of which 80% will Equine Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis.
Our clients’ friendly team of 11 vets is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join them just outside the vibrant city of Hull; recently voted the UK’s city of culture.
Our clients' are RCVS GP level certified and are committed to providing ongoing quality care for their clients’ animals.
They have digital x-ray; endoscopy; dental equipment; ultrasound; and in-house lab. They take out this equipment and have access to stabling when using them. We also have nurses who can accompany vets on calls as required.
Beyond the stately horse racing town of Beverley, and urban Hull, East Yorkshire offers superb tranquil countryside - from our sunny coast to the steep-sided valleys of the Yorkshire Wolds. Reasonable housing costs aid excellent quality of life, and our clients’ look after horses and riders who can enjoy quiet roads, bridleways, and beaches.
This is a full-time permanent position for a mixed animal Vet. There is a 1 in 4 weekends and OOH rota for large animal calls only. Vets Now take the phones. Normal Hours are 8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday with a day off every other week.
Our clients’ need an equine vet with at least 3 years’ experience to lead their growing equine ambulatory work across beautiful East Yorkshire. They believe that vets need to be intellectually fulfilled and so encourage and support colleagues to work up cases and develop their skills as part of a supportive team. They encourage and pay for UK CPD. They are a nurse training practice.
A competitive salary will be offered - rising with experience. Annual leave is 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. RCVS and BEVA membership paid.
