We are working with a well respected and highly recommended practice in Driffield, East Yorkshire, who are hoping to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team.
Established in 2013, our client has become the most recommended local practice due to their people-orientated approach. Their facilities include:
- Two consulting rooms
- Two waiting areas
- Separate dog and cat inpatient wards
- Isolation ward
- Imaging room with digital X-ray and ultrasound scanner
- In-house IDEXX haematology and biochemistry analysers
- Dedicated operating theatre
- Dental station with nitrogen powered air tools and ultrasonic scaler
They are also an RVN training practice.
This is a full-time role for either a confident recent graduate or a more experienced Vet looking to set down roots in this well-positioned market town. There is an out of hours rota of 1 in 3 rota nights and weekends where there is an average of one phone call per duty with one visit back to the surgery in around five phone calls so this is not a busy rota to be part of. The practice sees a wide variety of cases and prides itself on offering a good work/life balance for its team of 3 Vets. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience, including:
- Salary of £28,000-£42,000 per annum (DOE)
- Use of a local, modern 2-bedroom flat, currently valued as a benefit of £4,800 per annum
- Three days relevant CPD is encouraged and funded
- 23 days holiday plus five of the eight Bank Holidays
- Royal college and VDS fees paid
You should be a friendly Vet looking to embrace general practice with a huge variety of cases. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys talking to clients and enjoys working as part of a small team. This role would suit either a confident recent graduate with some small animal experience or a more experienced Vet.
