We are working with a practice in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that is looking to recruit a small animal Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis, to complement the mighty day team.

Their purpose-built, modern surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, purpose-built dental suite and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. You will be joining a team of 9 vets with 2:1 qualified RVN/Vet Ratio and an exceptional support team.
This role would suit an experienced nurse. This a full-time position of 40 hours per week, typical split into 3 longer days and a half-day with 1 in 4 weekends. Flexibility is a necessity as the day team required to be able to work from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm albeit not in the same shift! Our clients are looking for a confident person with excellent technical skills. Clinical experience assisting in a high-volume veterinary practice, as all the staff are cross-trained and you will often be responsible for everything from the patient being admitted to being discharged. You’ll be confident at placing catheters, administering and monitoring anaesthesia, as you’ll be supervised but not handheld or micromanaged. You’ll also be dealing with clients through consultations giving advice and liaising regarding their pets care. You’ll answer phone calls positively, in line with the practice philosophy in this progressive and forward-thinking practice.
