We are working with a lovely veterinary practice in Nottingham that is looking to recruit a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis. The rota consists of one week on, two weeks off (7 nights).
This practice is well equipped to deal with all aspects of pet care, from primary health needs, such as vaccinations, right through to complicated surgical and medical problems should they arise.
Our client is an excellent team of vets at this small animal hospital practice based in the Derby/Nottingham area who have been providing excellent service for over 30 years. This hospital is a well-equipped veterinary hospital that allows them to treat both primary and emergency treatments. With a number of branches in the local area, the hospital practice also does take referrals from them and other practices in the local area. Within their purpose-built facility, they have a wide range of machines including a new ultrasound machine, a state of the art digital x-ray machine, a complete dental machine that comes with a drill, scaler and polisher and much more.
This is a permanent position working night shifts where you will work alongside a duty vet, working a similar rota. The rota consists of one week on, two weeks off (7 nights) - no holidays (but days off interchangeable with 2 other members of the night nurse team).
The shifts are Monday-Friday 19:00-08:00, Saturday and Sunday 18:00-08:00.
Duties include OOH emergencies, nursing care of hospitalised in-patients and next day prep of the hospital area. The nursing assistant also on-site 05:00-06:00 until 10:00-11:00, dependent on the in-patient numbers.
For this role, you will need to be a qualified Veterinary Nurse that is registered with the RCVS (RVN). You will have post-graduate experience and be a passionate RVN that enjoys the challenges and experience that emergency care provides.
