We are currently working with a mixed practice based in the heart of Kent that is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client has been treating and caring for animals in the Kent area for over 100 years and has built up a friendly, reputable practice. They have five branches all located in central Kent. They work with companion animals equine and farm animals including referrals and second opinion work. Their practice is well equipped and is able to offer the following services: acupuncture, X-ray, dentistry, ECG referrals, Echocardiography & ultrasound, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology referrals, nutrition advice, vaccinations, a variety of clinics, micro-chipping, pet insurance, and passports plus 24-hour emergencies.

The Role:

This role provides a great work-life balance, as this is a full-time permanent role, covering 40 hours a week over 4 days. The shift pattern includes 1 in 3 Saturdays and the practice is closed on Sunday. In return, our clients are offering a competitive salary which includes:

  • A very competitive salary of up to £70,000 p/a
  • Accommodation allowance of £9,600
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in house CPD training VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 - 5 years experience. You should have possess leadership qualities, excellent communication and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.
