We are currently working with a delightful independent practice situated in a lovely location yet with easy links to motorway access and commuter routes e.g. 5 minutes drive from the M5, 30 minutes from Birmingham airport and 60 minutes from Bristol airport.
The team is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and expanding team.
This is a busy 24-hour small animal veterinary practice where their team of vets and nurses are available for appointments 7 days a week and emergency vet cover 24 hours a day. This commitment by a dedicated small animal single branch practice to doing their own emergency cover offers extraordinary continuity of care and is unique in Worcester.
This gives clients the advantage that if the worse should happen and a vet out of hours is needed they only need to contact and get to Vet Clinic where pet, vet, and client already know each other and their vets will have personal knowledge of the pets medical history.
They are fully independent, not part of a chain or owned by a pet shop or a hedge fund.
Since opening in '90s the premises have been extended and refurbished to a purpose-built environment including separate main and isolation wards so that potentially infectious patients can be isolated. The clinic has many other facilities and capabilities that one would expect of a modern Veterinary Practice.
This is a full-time permanent position for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive practice. The actual shift pattern will be discussed at the interview but will include an out of hours rota of 1 in 3 and a weekend rota of 1 in 3.
There will be occasionally periods of sole charge required, with 15-minute consults and occasional branch work.
You will be working in a practice that prides itself on offering a supportive environment and there are great opportunities for developing special interests in soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgery, small animal medicine and the use of alternative therapies.
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary, dependent on experience and benefits that include:
- A minimum of 20 days holiday plus bank holidays,
- Financial support and time off for CPD,
- Professional indemnity and royal college fees paid for by the practice.
- Also available if required; accommodation and use of the practice vehicle.
