We are working with 24-hour dedicated small animal Veterinary Centre that is looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for an experienced vet with a 3-5 year post-graduate experience and it would suit someone who is very close to finishing their medical certificate.

The Practice:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Medical Vet to join our clients' friendly and loyal team in their 24-hour Hospital which is their hub practice for 14 practices in Liverpool. The practice has a friendly client base who appreciate the personal service they provide. Our client's mission is to deliver progressive, around the clock care, which means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including CT scanner, in-house MRI machines, and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

You will have a fantastic team around you for support 24-hours a day which includes 1 soft tissue surgeon, 2 orthopaedic surgeons, and imaging vet and a dedicated night team. 

The Role:

This role would be a daytime role, 4 days a week, the exact working pattern and any weekend requirements are to be discussed at the interview. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical treatment to all hospitalised patients whilst maintaining good working relationships with the referring vets. 

This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a busy environment with the ability to make sound clinical judgments. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part in the team.

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • Competitive salary £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Accommodation allowance of £6,600
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

The Candidate:

You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' post-graduate small animal practice experience and would suit someone who is very close to finishing a medical certificate. Career progression is actively promoted and partnership opportunities are available for the right candidate.
