We are currently looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly small animal practice in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a great two vet clinic and a large team of nurses and support teams. This practice is within a 30 minutes’ drive of the city centre and only a short drive to the beautiful Peak District, conveniently located with access to the M60 and Manchester international airport.

They have full service available to their clients that include:
- In-house Laboratory
- Isolation Unit

The Role and Candidate:
This is a full-time permanent position for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly practice. You will be working an average of 39 hours per week, which will include weekends on a 1 in 3 basis.
This will be a rewarding and challenging role and the successful candidate will drive and enable the growth of this 2 vet practice into a 24-hour main centre for our clients' growing Manchester region. The successful applicant will need to be very motivated, have strong organisation and management skills and strive to provide the best care for clients and their pets. Having a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills is a must, be able to work to a very high standard both medically and surgically, and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. Future partnership opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
The package on offer includes:
- Salary £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
- Accommodation allowance £6,600
- Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500
- £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
- VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
- 5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays
