We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a small group of practices in the Essex and East London area as their Clinical Director. They are looking for a Vet with 7-9+ years experience that will be able to support and mentor junior members of the team,

The Practice:

Our clients’ are a dedicated hospital practice who are committed to not only investing in state of the art equipment to give patients access to the best possible facilities, but they are also dedicated to being able to offer the best possible care for all pets through their dedicated and experienced vets and nurses.

They have 3 practices and 1 of these is an RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital, this means that the standards cover a wide range of areas, from nursing staff on duty 24 hours each day of the year to monitoring anaesthetised pets and hygiene, to providing an isolation nursing care area.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 4 days a week (Monday-Friday 08:30-19:30). The weekend rota includes 1 in 6 full weekends, consulting 09:00-16:00 and Sunday 10:30-12:00, and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings 09:00-13:00. One evening on=call per week with 19:00-22:00 Monday-Thursday or Fridays from 19:00/20:00. Outside these times you will also be responsible for inpatients care/liaising with the 24/7 on-site nursing team, as required by the rota system.

You will oversee the running of the hospital and the 2 branches.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with 7-9+ years in practice experience that has the clinical experience to support and mentor junior members of the team. You must have experience in managing a team and being a great leader, this will include experience in looking after finances/budget for practices and being able to conduct one to ones and PDR's. Great communication skills are a must in this role, with clients and staff alike.

Remuneration Package:
