We are working with a small group of well-estblished veterinary practices in Essex and East London that is looking for a Junior Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit a vet with 3-5 years of clinical experience that is looking to expand their experience in a hospital environment.
Our clients’ are a dedicated hospital practice who are committed to not only investing in state of the art equipment to give patients access to the best possible facilities, but they are also dedicated to being able to offer the best possible care for all pets through their dedicated and experienced vets and nurses.
They have 3 practices and 1 of these is an RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital, this means that the standards cover a wide range of areas, from nursing staff on duty 24 hours each day of the year to monitoring anaesthetised pets and hygiene, to providing an isolation nursing care area.
This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 4 days a week (Monday-Friday 08:30-19:30). The weekend rota includes 1 in 6 full weekends, consulting 09:00-16:00 and Sunday 10:30-12:00, and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings 09:00-13:00. One evening on-call per week with 19:00-22:00 Monday-Thursday or Fridays from 19:00/20:00. Outside these times you will also be responsible for inpatients care/liaising with the 24/7 on-site nursing team, as required by the rota system.
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with 3-5 years of clinical experience that is looking to gain experience in a hospital environment. You must have great communication skills and enjoy working as part of a busy team.
