We are working with a small animal veterinary practice in Epsom, Surrey that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them as their Head Nurse. You will be a veterinary nurse who enjoys working as part of a great team, who has good all-round nursing skills and fantastic communication skills.

The Practice:

Our client is a small animal training practice in Epsom that due to continued growth are now looking for a Head Nurse to join their friendly and welcoming team on a permanent basis.

The practice is ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7-minute walk of Epsom train station. The practice offers a range of state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards. You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 2 full-time vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, and 2 receptionists all trying to make a difference to their clients by offering exceptional client care with the community at their core.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position and their rotas are designed to be as fair as possible and the new position required will be 40 hours per week and include 1 in 3 weekends. There are no OOH which means that all of the team get to enjoy an excellent work/life balance which they actively promote, knowing how important it is for a happy workplace!

The Candidate:

You will be a veterinary nurse who enjoys working as part of a great team, who has good all-round nursing skills and fantastic communication skills. Ideally, you will be a clinical coach and have some experience of managing a team but this is not essential as long as you have a willingness to train and support our clients' ethos of developing the team.
