We are currently recruiting a Medical Director for a well-established multi-doctor 24 Hr Hospital in Brampton, Ontario Canada

The Practice:

Our client is a full-service small animal and exotics 24-hour a day, 7 days a week emergency pet hospital servicing Brampton and surrounding area for the over 30 years. As well as offering emergency and critical care services around the clock, they also perform non-emergency preventative care including vaccinations, spays and neuters, dental surgery, parasite testing and prevention and any other care their client will need over the course of their lives. Their emergency animal hospital in is able to offer a wide range of medical technology such as surgery, routine and emergency, digital radiography, ultrasound, onsite laboratory testing, and dental surgery.

The Role:

Our client is seeking a Medical Director/DVM to lead the qualified medical team. The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations/protocol within the hospital, serve as a mentor to medical staff, including 10 associate veterinarians, and lead the advancement of high-quality patient care and client service. The Medical Director will also work in collaboration with the Hospital Manager to maintain and build their relationships with the referring community. Proficiency in surgery and previous experience in an emergency setting will be an asset.

The Candidate:

As our ideal candidate, you will have a minimum of 5 years of management experience, proven leadership, mentoring and team building skills, exemplary customer service that builds loyalty and trust with clients, strong emotional intelligence; have a positive attitude, and authentic empathy toward others, strong organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure and experience working in a high volume, full-service hospital.

This position is open to Veterinarians from Canada, America, UK, Ireland and Europe who have passed the NAVLE.

Remuneration:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between C$115,000 - C$120,000+ (subject to experience) plus bonus potential, generous CE allowance, access to our network of over 400 DVMs
