We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse at an independent practice in Hertfordshire on a full-time basis.
This a friendly practice in a small market in Hertfordshire, that has received 98% of their clients through word of mouth. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. The friendly team includes 11 Vet and 12 nurses, 4 trainee nurses and veterinary care assistant. They have a wide range of facilities available including ultrasound room, x-ray, laboratory, dental room and hydrotherapy.
The practice aim is to achieve the highest possible standards in patient and client care and continually invest in the latest equipment.
This is a full-time position, working 44 hours per week. Including being on call, which includes the designated sleep period between 23.00 - 07.00 when on call. It's a rolling 8-week rota, working 1 in 8-day shifts Saturday\Sunday 08.30 - 19.00. 1 in 8 weeks night shifts working Saturday 19.00 - 09.00 plus Sunday 19.00 - 09.00. Also, every 5 in 8 weeks weekday nights working shifts of 16.00 - 09.00. In this role, you will be covering duties that include assisting ops and consults, nurse clinics and caring for overnight patients.
Occasionally some sole charge is required so you must be comfortable with this.
