We are working with a large Mixed Animal Veterinary Group who wish to recruit a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis at one of their branch practices in Oxford, Oxfordshire.
Founded in the 1980s, this Veterinary Group offers a complete veterinary service through its three specialist departments who all work alongside each other with teams of dedicated Vets. Employing over 100 staff, this Veterinary Group is also a tier 3 Small Animal Hospital under the RCVS accreditation scheme. This role will be based at one of its small animal branches. All branches in the Group offer state-of-the-art equipment and facilities including CT, endoscopy and surgical suites, allowing them to offer Gold Standard veterinary care.
This is a full-time role working 4 days per week from 08.00-18.30 with 15-minute consultations. The role includes an element of out of hours on a rota shared with another practice which equates to working around 8 weekends per year dealing with inpatients only. There is also some on-call responsibility on a Monday and Thursday. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience, including:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, have a clean driving licence and be a strong team player with high clinical aspirations. There may be elements of sole charge so you should be comfortable with this and happy to hit the ground running with a busy and varied caseload. However, our client will consider applications from recently qualified graduates who can demonstrate the right skills and attributes.
