We are working on behalf of a leading veterinary charity based in Gillingham in Kent, who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team.

The Practice:

This leading veterinary charity provides low-cost and free veterinary care and promotes responsible pet ownership. Currently employing a team of 40, they pride themselves on supporting their community clients and offer a range of services and facilities, including:

  • Digital X-ray
  • Doplar
  • Blood pressure
  • Ultrasound
  • ECG

The Role:

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week in 7.5 hours shifts as follows - 08.00-16.30, 09.00-17.30 and 09.30-18.00. Weekends are on a rota of 1 in 5 or 6 Saturday mornings 09.00-12.00 and there are no out of hours responsibilities with this role. There may be some sole charge on a Saturday morning so you should be comfortable with this and the occasional visit to a nearby practice in Margate. In return, our client is able to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience, including:

The Candidate:

You will be joining a busy, lively team, so you should be a good team player with strong communication skills. You should be confident in consultations and emergency surgery with some sole charge on Saturday mornings.
