We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established small animal practice near to Hampstead in North West London who is looking recruit a Senior Veterinary Surgeon. This is a full-time permanent role that would suit an experienced vet of 5 years plus, that will lead and improve clinical standards within this practice.
This is a friendly, independent practice located in North West London. Their clients are insured, high-end clients with a strong human-animal bond. Their pets are a very important part of their family. These clients require thoroughness and attention to detail in every aspect of practice service and clinical approach. They are looking to recruit a veterinary nurse to work within a supportive team.
The practice use visiting specialists in ultrasonography, orthopaedics and complex soft tissue surgery, dentistry (root canal treatment, etc.) and cardiology.
The team currently consists of 2 vets, 3 nurses, 3 receptionists, and 3 cattery assistants.
This is a full-time permanent position with shifts of 08:00-18:00 / 09:00-19:00. There are no out of hour requirements and the weekends are currently 1:3 Saturday mornings.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operations and Consults
To lead the team
To improve clinical standards (which will be evidenced).

Certificates would be supported but this would be judged on a case by case process.
You will have excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a desire to make people happy. You must have excellent medical and surgical skills and be able to lead a team.
This role would suit a vet with 5 years plus experience, that will improve the clinical standards of the practice but is also friendly, committed and professional.
