Role: Locum Veterinary Surgeon

Type: Small Animal

Location: Near to Melksham, Wiltshire

Start: December

Finish: 12 months - Maternity Cover Position

Hours: Full-time, an average of 40 hours per week (shifts will be discussed at interview)


  • 1:5 full weekend - on-call from Friday night, working the Saturday clinic 08:30-12:00 and then on-call for the remainder of the weekend for emergencies and inpatient care.
  • 1:5 Saturday morning clinic only 08:30-12:00

Out of hours: Yes, 1:5 and you would also cover the evening surgery that day

Sole Charge: Yes

Consults: 10 mins

Accommodation: Yes, not on site (flat/house) - pets/partners, would be subject to the type of rental

Vehicle: Yes, would be required to get to the practice

Pay Rate: Competitive - Would be dependent on the contract agreed

Skills: 1-2 years post graduate experience

Other Info: This could be a fixed term contract or flexible - dependent on candidate
