We are working with a friendly, award-winning, independent veterinary practice in Swansea, South Wales that is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time permanent basis. The practice is looking for a vet with at least 1-year post-graduate experience that will share their values of providing a high standard of patient and client care.

The Practice:

This well-established independent practice is friendly and award-winning that has achieved Tier 3 hospital status. They offer excellent working conditions and the ability to accommodate all clinical preferences from 1 st opinion GP vet to certificate holders. They have a supportive and friendly team ethos, with professional development encouraged, supported by the certificate holders in the practice. They have an excellent Veterinary Nurse and Reception Team that provides excellent support to the vets.

The practice has a full range of facilities and equipment that include endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography, and ECC. They have a separate cat and dog waiting areas, 4 consult rooms, and 3 operation rooms. They offer their clients a high standard of patient care and their staff a good work-life balance and job satisfaction.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent full-time role (part-time would be considered) for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with at least 1-year post-graduate experience. You will be working 4 days a week 08:45-18:30 with a weekend rota of 1 in 4. The out of hours rota is optional and the schedule is 1 in 10 weeknights on-call and 1 in 4 partial weekends, you will be rewarded with very generous time off in lieu, enhanced salary.

The typical daily duties will include operations and consults, their consults are 15 minutes and there will be no sole charge required. There will be an element of branch work required in this role.
