We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, independent, small animal practice based in the Holmfirth area of West Yorkshire, that is looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
Our client is a friendly, caring independent first opinion practice providing a high standard of veterinary care to small animals and horses in the West Yorkshire area. The practice is an approved Veterinary Nurse training centre and an approved member of the Royal College Practice Standards Scheme. The practice believes in focusing upon the prevention of disease as much as its treatment and understand the crucial role that you can play in prolonging the animal's life. The team is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a professional and friendly approach. The expert team of vets, nurses and support staff are always on hand to offer an excellent service. The practice provides a full range of services and their veterinary care is underpinned using a full range of modern treatments.
This is a full-time, permanent, Veterinary Surgeon position. The practice hours are Monday - Friday 09.00 - 19.00. There may be an evening off during the week but this is arranged fairly. The weekend rota is 1 in 2 working Saturdays. No surgery on Sundays, but if there are inpatients, the vet who is working the Saturday, will be responsible for the care of those animals over the weekend. No out of hours involved in this position or branch work. In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary, depending on experience.
The practice is looking for an experienced vet but will consider all levels of experience. A vet who is confident to undertake consultations and perform routine surgeries. This is a busy practice with a varied caseload, so the vet must be ambitious and proactive, who is ready to hit the ground running and thrive in a fantastic veterinary team. You must have outstanding communication skills and be a real team player.
