Our clients are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, to join their busy surgery in the Runnymede borough of Surrey.
It's an independent family run practice, with two other branches that are only 10 minutes apart but work very closely together. It's a very modern and progressive practice, with all the kit you'd expect and a very proactive approach to CPD. The practice has a lovely, friendly team with extremely capable nurses and a wealth of experience and skills from the vets and nursing team. The vets are very experienced and work through a systematic approach to get to the bottom of any problems. Also have a team of visiting specialists, who can see and treat at the clinic, removing the need to travel elsewhere. The clinic offers everything from routine neutering and lump removals, to laparoscopic surgery and emergency surgery.
This is a full-time role, working a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturday morning 09.00 - 12.00. There is no out of hours with this role, but very occasionally you may be required to do some branch work at the other two branches that are only 10 minutes apart and work very closely together. Happy to discuss a school hours rota. Vets are scheduled admin time and a lunch break every day. The rota is based on 1 vet consulting and 1 vet operating. If consulting, you have 3 consult sessions through the day. if on ops, then you operate until the afternoon and then have a consult session later in the day. Our clients would be happy if you are an experienced vet, have a certificate, or would like to start working towards one. As you would be joining a team of 4 experienced vets, we are happy to support a recent graduate or a confident new graduate. In return, our client is offering a very competitive salary, with above average CPD allowance and a gym membership.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinary surgeon on a full-time basis. You will need to have a very high level of customer service, as the clients and patients expect a gold standard approach to care. If you are enthusiastic and want to progress your career, through CPD and certificate study, then our clients are happy to support you. Its a very busy practice, with a varied caseload, and you are able to follow your cases through to completion. You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoy interacting with your clients and their animals.
