We are working with a rapidly growing small animal practice in Guildford, Surrey that is looking for Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full-time basis. Our client is looking for a vet that is a team player and fantastic clinical skills.

The Practice:

This is a state of the art practice in an open plan but a homely environment for their patients that includes the most modern equipment and facilities in general practice. They proudly offer consultations of between 15-30 minutes to allow their clients all the time they need to discuss concerns and examinations of the pet. They have been rigorously assessed by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, International Society of Feline Medicine and the Rabbit Welfare Council and are a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice. The practice offers cat and rabbit only areas to reduce the stressful time of visiting the practice, and for puppies, they offer puppy socialisation and training to assist in making their visits the nicest experience possible.

They pride themselves on state of the art equipment that would not find at many other veterinary practices in the area. This means they can often diagnose and treat patients illness without needing to refer the client elsewhere. This includes a full laboratory, digital x-ray imaging (general and dental), flexible endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment for keyhole surgery, digital tonometry (to allow full examination of the eye), ECG, ultrasound, blood pressure monitors, critical care incubator, electrosurgery and full anaesthetic monitoring equipment including capnography and pulse oximetery.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time position working 4 long days 08:00-19:00 and a share of the weekend rota which is 2:5 Saturdays 08:00-13:00. There is no out of hour requirements with this role.

Our client is looking for a team player that has a fantastic attitude and client care skills. You will be confident surgically and clinically, ideally you will have laparoscopic experience.
