We are working with a long established small animal veterinary practice based in Tamworth, Staffordshire that is looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. This practice is able to support newly graduate vets so they are open to applications from all levels of experience.

The Practice:

Our client is based across two locations in the Staffordshire area and they have an experienced team of nine vets and thirteen nurses that provide the best clinical care to their patients. Their thirty strong team includes many colleagues with advanced qualifications and the practice has state of the art services. With experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Arthritis Management, and Cancer Treatment, they only refer out a small number of their cases.

The practice facilities include In-house blood testing, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, ECG and radiography to name a few. Their focus is to provide a good service at an affordable price in a friendly busy environment.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 4.5 days a week, with a weekend rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays and 1 in 8 full weekends (Sat 08:30-17:00 and Sun 10:00-16:00). Your daily duties will include Ops and Consults and an occasional sole charge will be required. As there are two practices some branch work may be required also.

In return, the practice is offering a very competitive salary of circa £30,000-£60,000 p/a (DOE) and benefits that include:

£2,000 signing bonus

9 weeks of annual leave

The Candidate:

Due to the vast experience in this practice, they can support a New Graduate Vet but are open to application from vets of different levels of experience. You must have good basic medical and surgical skills with great communication skills, both with clients and colleagues.

They are looking for an ambitious vet that is friendly and a good team player that will add to the already great depth of knowledge seen in this practice. As such certificates are encouraged and supported in this practice.
