We are working with a friendly well-established small animal veterinary practice in the St John's Wood area of North London that is looking for Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them. Our client is looking for an RVN that is experienced with an interest in all areas of working in a veterinary hospital.

The Practice

Our client has 30 practices across North London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, which includes four 24-hour emergency hospitals and a specialist referral centre. They have nearly 300 staff, including specialists in Soft Tissue Surgery, Dermatology and Emergency and Critical Care, staff with certificates in feline practice, and residency trained consultants in anaesthesia and analgesia and internal medicine. This practice is a small branch that sees a varied caseload and has a committed client base. They have a focus on being a fun place to work and take pride in looking after their staff as well as providing brilliant client and patient care.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 42 hours per week, the exact rota (including the weekend rota) will be discussed at interview. Your daily duties will include:

  • Working as a Veterinary Nurse across all areas of the hospital (Surgery, Procedures, Wards, and Consultation)
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting with veterinary procedures
  • Ensuring that set nursing practices and protocols are maintained to the current best practice standards
  • Clinical Coach to a student

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced registered veterinary nurse that has an interest in working in all areas of a hospital environment. You possess outstanding patient and client care skills, along with excellent communication skills. You will work well as part of a team and possess the ability to multitask in a busy environment. If you have clinical coaching and/or exposure of working Emergency and Critical Care cases this would be of benefit but isn't essential.
