We are working with a well-established Veterinary Practice based near Pembroke in Pembrokeshire who is looking for a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

This practice prides itself on looking after both small and large animals in South Pembrokeshire. The current team comprises of 4 Vets, 2 Nurses and 2 SVNs with an emphasis on quality of care and good customer service. Services at the practice include:

  • All routine operations undertaken on site
  •  In-house laboratory, including blood tests (haematology, biochemistry and some hormones), allowing for quick results
  •  Ultrasound scanning and state-of-the-art digital X-ray
  •  Dental hygiene and ultrasonic descaling and polishing

The Role:

This is a full-time role and the working hours can be discussed further at interview. Weekends are 1 in 4 Friday and Saturday nights on call with a handover on Sunday. During the week, the practice operates an open surgery in the mornings with farm visits in the afternoon. The workload is split roughly 70% small animal and 30% large and a car is provided for travel as well as accommodation being available. The Candidate:

Ideally, you will have 2 year's experience and be confident in your ability to work with small and large animals.
