Our clients are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, to join their busy surgery in the Wirral, Merseyside.

The Practice:

The Practice has been looking after pets on the Wirral for over thirty years. The dedicated team offers a caring and high-quality service to patients and clients. Our clients have three practices in the Wirral area all with convenient parking outside and open seven days a week. Currently, there have seven vets working in the practice, with varying special interests from orthopaedics to soft tissue surgery and medicine, with some in the process of training for further specialist professional qualifications. In 2002 the practice became a veterinary nurse training practice (TP) affiliated with Myerscough College in Preston. Currently, have four student nurses, each going for day-release to Myerscough College, and at varying stages of their training. We also provide placement facilities for undergraduate degree-level veterinary nurses and student veterinary surgeons. Student nurses work in the practice for a time before starting the two-year specialist course, and many of them stay with the practice after they qualify. All three branch head nurses trained with them and have continued to develop their careers within the practice. The dedicated team works hard to provide the high quality and individual care that the clients and their pets expect of them. The practice is a modern and progressive practice but with an unashamedly old-school ethos; 'If animals sicken seven days a week, we must treat them seven days a week'

The Role:

This is a full-time role for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon. The practice is open 7 days a week so shift patterns will including weekends, so this will be discussed at the interview. Typical daily duties include consulting and first opinion services. In return, our clients are offering a competitive salary.

The Candidate:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinary surgeon on a full-time basis. You will need to have a very high level of customer service. Good consulting experience, upselling of health plans, good ability to offer gold standard diagnostics, surgical experience for routine procedures. Our clients are looking for a candidate who is fun, team player, fits in easily, positive attitude to receiving and giving support.
