We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated small animal practice based in Worcester, Worcestershire. that is looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The Practice:

Our client who specialises in family pets and small animals and is an accredited Veterinary Hospital and dedicated Veterinary Centre offers a one-stop shop for family pets in Worcestershire – Open 7 days a week and with on-site out of hours and emergency care. The practice cares for dogs, rabbits and small pets in the large practice, that offers excellent facilities including a CT scanner for pets. The practice is proud to be the vet practice of choice for Guide Dogs for the Blind and West Mercia Police in Worcester. The referral department offers a multi-disciplinary service for vets in CT imaging, Cardiology, General Surgery, Hydrotherapy, McTimoney Manipulation and Ophthalmology.

The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent, Veterinary Surgeon position, working Monday - Friday 08.00 - 19.00. The weekend rota is 1 in 4 Saturday & Sunday 08.30 - 18.30. Shifts are consults 08.00 - 17.00 ops 08.30 - 19.00 and a mixture of ops & props 09.00 - 19.00. Voluntary out of hours for the inpatients (2 months in advance) extra pay, but you can opt out. Typical daily duties include consults and surgeries. In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary, depending on experience, and a salary review annually.

The Candidate:

The practice is looking for an experienced vet with 4 - 5 years experience. A vet who is confident to undertake consultations and perform routine surgeries. This is a busy practice with a varied caseload, so the vet must be ambitious and proactive, who is ready to hit the ground running and thrive in a fantastic veterinary team. You must have outstanding communication skills and be a real team player.
