We are currently recruiting for a lovely small animal practice based in Canning Town, South East London for a Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse with 2 - 3 years experience.
Fantastic nursing opportunity at a veterinary centre that cares for rescue and rehoming, as well as looking after owned pets. You will also have the opportunity to nurse abused and unwanted animals back to health and into new loving homes. The clinic deals with a wide range of medical and surgical cases both routine and emergency. Have an emphasis on the charities core work which is neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. The veterinary services at the practice are available to pets belonging to owners who cannot afford private veterinary fees and do not qualify for veterinary help anywhere else. It's a very busy, organised practice with 70 employees, and a charity that believes in making any animals lives viable. This branch is the larger of the two London Veterinary clinics and deals with a wide range of medical and surgical cases both routine and emergency including orthopaedic surgery. Some of the facilities at the practice include:
- Digital x-ray
- Ultrasound scanner
- Blood pressure monitor
- Pulse Ox
- Multi-parameter monitors
- Haematology and Bio-chem machines
- Infusion pumps
- Equipped orthopaedic theatre
- Piped O2
This is a full or part-time role, working shifts of 08.00 - 16.30, 09.00 - 17.30, 11.00 -19.30, 13.00 - 21.00. You will be working one weekend day per month - a long shift of 09.00 - 21.00. Working the Saturday you will get the preceding Monday off if working Sunday you will get the following Friday off. Long term opportunities the CPD budget is very generous. Our clients are looking for a very ambitious, dynamic and proactive nurse with solid all-around skills, and good communication skills - this is a very fast paced role, so a very experienced nurse is required to handle the workload. Some sole charge is required in this role, so must be comfortable with this and confident dealing with a stressful environment. You will be a strong team player, cheerful, happy and have good organisational skills.
