We are working with a state-of-the-art purpose-built clinic in Portsmouth that has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is looking an inspiring Clinical Director to help delivery gold standard care to patients and their owners.

The Practice:

Our client is a low-cost, high-quality veterinary healthcare provider, offering a full range of affordable small animal veterinary services to clients, operating a no appointment, walk-in clinic system. They offer a range of clinical services from preventative healthcare through to complex medical, surgical and orthopaedic procedures. They have superb, spacious, purpose-built surroundings with two operating theatres, six consulting rooms, digital x-ray, and an up-to-date Idexx in-house laboratory.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 37 hours/4days per week, working shifts between the clinic opening hours (please note that as the customer base grows the opening hours will change). You will also be part of the weekend rota too, working 1 in 4 weekends.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a wider role as part of the group’s leadership team where input in activities and company direction is encouraged. You will be an experienced veterinary surgeon that has a passion and drive for providing top quality veterinary care and have the following capabilities:

  • Have experience in leading a team
  • Be highly skilled and knowledgeable in all areas of veterinary medicine and procedures
  • Be confident in coaching and guiding colleagues
  • Be keen to be in a management position in a fast-paced clinic.
