We are working with a lovely practice in Grimsby, Lincolnshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis, part-time would be considered for the right candidate. Ideally, they are looking for an experienced RVN but could develop a newly qualified nurse.
Our client is a friendly, family ran small animal practice based in Grimsby whose services and facilities are designed to assist in routine care for all small animal pets. Our client has a dedicated team of vets, nurses and support staff who understand the special role that a pet plays in the family and are dedicated to providing a dedicated service for young, healthy pets. Their goal is to practice to the highest quality and to provide a personal service for the unique concerns of each individual pets. This practice has an extremely low turnover rate and currently has 4 Vets and 5 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 7 auxiliaries, and 3 receptionists. Their facilities include ultrasound, digital x-ray, dab machines, theatres, kennels, and isolation facilities.
This is for at least one Registered Veterinary Nurse possibly two, ideally, both would be full-time but one could part-time. The full-time role would be in the region of 36+ hours per week, working over 4 days Monday to Friday, with at least one early (starting about 7.30 and finishing at 5 pm) and/ or late shift per week (usually finishing approx 6.30 unless an emergency comes in).
There is normally one night on call (Monday to Thursday) every week and a half; one Friday night on-call (6-8 pm) about every 5-6 weeks and a Saturday morning every 4-5 weeks (with time off in lieu). On-call does not require being on-site, they just need to be available if the on-call vet needs assistance.
The practice tries to vary duties throughout the week with nurses spending time in theatre, consulting and looking after inpatients
In return, our client is offering a competitive hourly rate of circa £10.40 for a qualified nurse.
Our client is looking for an experienced RVN due to the practice already having three student nurses in practice. They would be able to support and develop a newly qualified RVN for the right candidate.
You will be an excellent communicator, a good team player, be able to remain calm under pressure, friendly and fit in with this friendly team.
