We are recruiting on behalf of a group of small animal practices that are based across the South East of Wales. With their main practice in Newport, they have five other practices that are around 45 minutes away and they are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon that will cover all of these on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our clients' aim is to provide veterinary care at a fair and reasonable price to all animals, at all times, regardless of their owner’s income, background or circumstances.

They offer all the same services and facilities you would expect to find in any other veterinary practice and in some cases, more. From in-house laboratories to digital x-ray machines, their equipment ensures that pets get the right treatment as soon as possible.

They are proud to offer a broad range of cutting-edge services and facilities within their branches are top of the range. Whether your pet is visiting them purely for observation, a dental procedure or a serious operation, clients can rest assured that they do everything they can to ensure their safety and comfort from the moment they arrive. From the super-hygienic, specialist animal kennels to the state of the art, in-house laboratories, they invest in their business to ensure that pets receive the best available care, in the least stressful environment, as fast as possible and for a reasonable price.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team and float between the 6 branches as required to cover holidays, sickness and CPD. They are looking for a GP Vet with good consulting skills and the ability to perform basic routine surgeries. Support can be provided for more advanced surgery. They are looking for someone keen to learn and happy to build relationships with clients. Being a team player is a must in this large, busy group as well as having fun whilst getting the job done!

This is a full-time role where you will be working 37.5 hours over a 4 day week with one day off. The shifts are 08:30-19:00 with no weekends or out of hours this role provides a great work/life balance. Part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, you will receive excellent support from a large, experienced team and 2 Clinical Directors. An incredibly fun team who work really well together and have a great bond. They have fully refurbished two practices this year and are planning for a further two refurbishments next year.
