Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon that will join their dedicated night team in a Lead Veterinary Surgeon role. The shift pattern is 4 on/3 off and 3 on/11 off.
Our client has recently expanded their out of hours services in their RCVS accredited tier 3 small animal hospital. They are well equipped with ultrasound, endoscopy, digital x-ray, separate dog and cat wards, isolation ward accessed by an external door and full surgical diagnostic facilities. In addition to the hospital practice, they have 6 branches in the local area. The night team look after clients from their own 6 branches but also provide out of hours cover to 8 other practices in the local area. Varied caseload, with the opportunity to grow and progress with the forthcoming installation of a CT scanner on site.
The Role and Candidate:
You will work sole charge as a Veterinary Surgeon at our clients' Hospital practice, making animal welfare your first consideration. You will ensure all treatments given are in line with informed consent. You will also assume responsibility for surgical and medical cases at all times and lead the night team, which includes 1 Vet, 3RVNS & 3 Nurse Assistants. The pattern for this role is - Nights of 4 on/3 off and 3 on/11 off.
You will the desire and experience to manage a team with a strong and varied clinical experience.
