We are working with a leading veterinary charity who is looking for a Head Nurse to join them at their purpose-built hospital in Devon on a permanent basis.
This is a leading veterinary charity who pride themselves on educating, preventing and treating a wide range of pets. This hospital has been purpose-built with the usual range of small animal equipment and a diverse team of 9 Vets.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week with shifts starting between 08.00 and 09.30 and finishing at 18.00 with one later shift starting at 11.45. Weekends are on a rota of 1 in 8 with no out of hours responsibilities. In this role, you will line manage the Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Care Assistant teams and will lead and develop your team to efficiently manage the day-to-day workflow through the hospital. You will be responsible for stock control, hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment and will support the Senior Veterinary Surgeon in managing income and expenditure, making sure that resources are used in a cost-effective manner. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between £24,500 and £25,500 dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits.
You should be a fully-qualified RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with an extensive track record including practice and people management.
