We are working with a lovely small animal practice in Oxford that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them as their Head Veterinary Nurse. This is a full-time permanent position that would suit an RVN that is either ready to take their first step into a Head Nurse role or one that has previous Head Nurse experience.

The Practice:

This small animal practice has a small team that is made up of one vet and two nurses; you will also have the support of a closeby 24-hour hospital.

They also provide ongoing support to all teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role, the exact working pattern will be discussed at interview. It will include a weekend rota of one in four, with up to three Bank Holidays a year and up to four weeks on-call a year.

This role would suit someone who is ready to take the next step into a Head Nurse position or who has previous Head Nurse experience, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of qualified experience.

The Candidate:

You will have clinical coaching experience, keen to support and develop the student nurses and not be afraid to get stuck in with the duties and lead by example. You will be fully supported within your move and our client will offer full management training with a dedicated in-house internal training team.

You’ll have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further.

Strong mentorship and support will be available to help you develop your career and get the most satisfaction from your job. You’ll be free to devote all of your time to looking after your clients and patients.
