We are working with a client with a 24-hour hospital, based in Wokingham, Berkshire that is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. This is a dedicated night role where you will be working 26 weeks year on a rota of 7 on / 7 off.
The Practice:
This is a newly refurbished hospital based in Berkshire with direct transport links to London and surrounding areas. The clinic is the central hub of a close-knit group of 9 practices including multiple certificate holders and a well-established client base. The branch sees a very mixed caseload, usually at least one orthopaedic case a day, several ultrasounds a week both for out and in-patients and the usual mix of medical cases. The hospital is well-equipped with state of the art facilities such as digital x-ray and ultrasound. The practice is currently a 5 Vet practice with 7 supportive Nurses and a Reception team of 3.
The Role:
This is full-time permanent night role, where you will be working only 26 weeks of the year on a 7 on / 7 off rotation. The shifts you will be working will be 18:30-08:30.
From November 2019 the Hospital will transition to full 24-hour service until then Wokingham will only receive emergencies until 22:00 and thereafter will be solely inpatient work.

The Candidate:
Ideally, you will be an experienced vet with a real passion for emergency and critical care who enjoys working to a gold standard. You will benefit from on-call support and this is a wonderful opportunity to get to grips with emergency work. In addition, you would be actively encouraged to pursue a certificate in ECC.
