We are currently working with an RCVS accredited mixed practice based in Cranbrook, Kent that is looking for a 100% Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client has been treating and caring for animals in the Kent area for over 100 years and has built up a friendly, reputable practice. They have five branches all located in central Kent. They work with companion animals equine and farm animals including referrals and second opinion work. Their practice is well equipped and is able to offer the following services: acupuncture, X-ray, dentistry, ECG referrals, Echocardiography & ultrasound, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology referrals, nutrition advice, vaccinations, a variety of clinics, microchipping, pet insurance, and passports plus 24-hour emergencies.

The Role:

This is a permanent position for a Veterinary Surgeon. The role provides a great work-life balance, as this is a full-time permanent role, covering 40 hours a week over 4 days. The shift pattern includes 1 in 3 Saturdays and the practice is closed on Sundays. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience, that includes:

  • A very competitive salary of up to circa £45,000 p/a (DOE)
  • Accommodation allowance of £9,000
  • Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in - house CPD training
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays

The Candidate:

You will be a qualified small animal veterinary surgeon that is registered with the RCVS that has a minimum of 6 months post-graduate experience in a small animal practice. This position would suit an enterprising vet who enjoys delivering a high level of patient and client care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to move into the next stage in their career, with excellent long term prospects for the right candidate.

This candidate should be a motivated individual who possesses leadership qualities, excellent communication and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part in the team.
