We are working with a specialist veterinary research group, where they focus their innovation on discovering and developing the solutions practices need to succeed. The results-oriented animal health medicines and vaccines, technical education and business support are designed to help veterinary surgeons and livestock farmers address their daily real-world challenges.

They are looking for an RVN to join them as a Diagnostics Specialist to provide onsite support to veterinary practices, laboratory research, and veterinary academic settings and are responsible for the overall business health and customer satisfaction of their assigned area.

The Role:

This is a full-time role where you will be traveling weekly (3-4 days a week) throughout your assigned area or as directed by your line manager.

The Diagnostics Specialist provides onsite support to veterinary practices, laboratory research, and veterinary academic settings and is responsible for the overall business health and customer satisfaction of their assigned territories. Their primary purpose is to assist practices with all aspects of implementation, training, operation, optimisation, and problem resolution on all veterinary diagnostics products. The specialist will be involved in all phases of the onsite support process with emphasis on diagnostics implementation, workflow improvements, and increasing utilisation of the groups' products, including the identification of new equipment and consumable opportunities.

Remuneration Page:

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £38,000 p/a (DOE), company car, pension, and generous bonus structure.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse that is results-driven with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated sales / technical experience. You will have relevant technical/clinical experience, preferably in the veterinary, medical or scientific industry. You will know and understand veterinary practice purchasing and operations processes.

It is important that you have good oral and written communication with strong presentation skills, with good active listening abilities.

They are looking for an RVN that is positive solution focussed attitude and be able to work as part of team as well as alone, you will have the following skills:

  • Good computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets CRM systems
  • Must possess superb customer service skills, be able to work independently, make appropriate decisions with accuracy, timeliness, and complete follow-through. 
  • Must understand general veterinary practice operations including but not limited to diagnostic applications, financial limitations, training requirements, and workflow processes. 
  • Must have the ability to create and deliver training presentations clearly and effectively in both formal and informal environments. 
  • Able to elicit information to identify specific needs or issues.
  • Able to offer proactive advice and guidance on processes and procedures
  • Able to demonstrate strong client relationship building skills
  • Strong networking skills
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK.
  • Ability to safely move & handle equipment around 60 lbs in weight
