We are working with a proudly independent friendly family run practice, in Wigan that is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated team on a full-time permanent basis. They are looking for a vet that enjoys consulting and wishes to expand their knowledge of surgical procedures.

The Practice:

The practice is a family run business that truly believes in family values and the team is an extension of that. The dedicated, friendly and highly qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses in order to best treat the patients. In 2016 the practice was lucky enough to be established as a referral centre, with its in house MRI and CT scanning facilities, in which vets all over the North West can refer to them. They are an RCVS accredited training practice and maintain a tier 3 hospital status, referral centre and nurse training practice, and amongst the biggest asset, the team, have a wide range of services and equipment that ensures that no two days are the same. They believe in a high standard of care for the patients and customers, and team harmony is also very important. They have a grooming salon within the practice and also a grooming school that is very popular. They also have a sister company called Northwest MRI & CT that offers an outpatient service to other vets in the northwest area, which has been in steep growth over the past couple of years and is a credit to the work the team has put into it.

The Role:

This a full-time position working four and half days a week, with no out of hours requirements. Weekends are 1 in 3 Saturday mornings only, giving a great work/life balance.

The focus of this role is to set and maintain a high standard of practice, to ultimately deliver outstanding patient care, high client satisfaction and commercial success for the business. The main focus is the best outcome for the pet – not the cheapest outcome for the client or the quickest outcome for the vet. Our client wants a vet that understands the whole picture, offers a range of treatments that best suits the animals' needs, advise the client accordingly and recommend next steps. There are four main points that are essential in any role at this practice and they are:

Clinical Resolution, Client Satisfaction, Financial Resolution, People/morale.

If you take one of these away the business cannot run efficiently.

In Return, our clients are offering an attractive salary, pension scheme.

The Candidate:

Due to the growth of the practice, our client is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated team of 4 vets and 6 qualified nurses who make up a cheerful, knowledgeable and experienced support team. They are looking for someone who is a great communicator with an emphasis on outstanding patient care and high client satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for a vet who is looking for new opportunities and challenges. If you enjoy consulting and wish to expand on your knowledge of surgical procedures and imaging this is a exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and ever expanding company with state of the art facilities and certificate holders in surgery and imaging.

In return, they offer an attractive salary and benefits package that includes a pension scheme, accommodation, and vehicle if required.
