We are working with a small animal practice based in Andover, Hampshire who are looking for a friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse available to work on a full-time or part-time permanent basis.
This is a long-standing small animal practice that has been around over 60 years, which is well equipped with modern equipment and has a high standard of animal care. They run their own 24 hours emergency service which provides their loyal client base with one of their vets on the premises, whatever the time of day or night. The practice has a friendly and caring team of 6 Vets, 6 RVN’s, 1 SVN and an Animal care assistant. They have great success with the training practice for veterinary nurses, which they run daily. Communication is key at the practice, they hold full clinic meetings twice a month and nurse meetings every couple of months, to discuss issues and possible improvements.
The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking for a friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse available to work on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. You would be joining a friendly and motivated team and this role would suit an experienced or a newly qualified RVN who is ambitious and someone who enjoys something different every day.
The role within the team will involve:
- 1 night per week
- 1 weekend in 5 on-call, followed with a long weekend off
- Heavily involved in clinical procedures e.g. Intravenous catheter placement, blood sampling, Dentistry and Radiography
- Everyone stops twice a day for hospital rounds 9:00-9:30 and 15:00-15:30
- Vets and Nurses attend and discuss cases to help make sure patients are receiving the best care and treatment
