We are working with a full-service small animal hospital in Salinas, California that is looking for an Associate Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. At this practice they take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical and dental issues, so you will see a varied caseload in a busy environment.

The Practice:

The practice is a full-service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Their DVM is experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. Beyond first rate pet care, they make the clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment so that pets can relax in The practice is well equipped; including ultrasound, digital x-ray, Abaxis blood chemistry, CBC machine and is located in Salinas California near Monterey Peninsula.

Salinas is hospitality blends yesterday's charm with today's modern conveniences. There are lots to see and do with nearby beaches, wineries, and monuments in the local area and Monterey Bay a short drive away.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working a 5 day week. There is a weekend rota of every other Sunday, which the practice is closed every other Wednesday to compensate.

Our client is looking for a career-minded, fun, outgoing, caring Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly hard-working team. The management team supports work-life balance, promotes team building and provides professional development.

If you have a special interest this would be a benefit, you must be experienced and capable with all staff being led by a Registered Technician Manager/Administrator.

Ideally, you will have between 1-3 year post-graduate in practice experience (although other levels of experience would also be considered). You will need a DVM, CALIFORNIA LICENSE, Nationally accredited, Dea licensed, and be confident in surgery.
