We are working with a lovely practice in Bury, Greater Manchester who are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team.
This practice has a team of experienced and compassionate vets, nurses and client care team that provides their clients beloved companions with the highest standard of care. They provide ongoing support to the teams, both in practice and through the dedicated training centre. This is a busy, first opinion veterinary practice situated in the middle of the town so lots of places to eat and shop very close by with close links to Manchester and 30 mins from Manchester airport. Situated in a rural location there is lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep, with the peak district and lake district within an hour's drive. They are fully equipped to carry out medical workups and surgical procedures and you would be fully supported by a team of vets and nurses. Equipment of the branch includes: ECG, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Operating theatre.
This role is 39 hours a week, including 1:3 weekends. The hours are spread over a 4-day week, offering a great work-life balance. The role will function in an environment where colleagues support each other by sharing skills and knowledge, to give patients the best outcomes.
In return, our client is offering an excellent package including;
- A competitive salary of up to £55,000 p/a (DOE)

- Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500
- CPD allowance £1,500 with 3 days CPD leave
- VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

The successful candidate will have great communication skills and will be confident with routine surgery and diagnostics. The role would suit a veterinary surgeon with at least two years' experience, looking for the support needed to further their career.
