We are working with a well-established small animal veterinary practice in the Teddington area of West London that is looking for permanent RVN to join them as their Head Veterinary Nurse. This is a full-time permanent position that would suit an RVN with experience in a small animal practice that is looking to join a supportive practice.

The Practice:

Our client is a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. As a group, they are set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry.

Their mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Head Veterinary Nurse and previous experience of working in a small animal practice is required.

This role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. It will provide you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practices with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.

You will be provided with dedicated support from our clients' head-office; here the stress of dealing with recruitment, H&S, practice standards, marketing (and much more!) is taken care of, and while there are still admin duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!

This a permanent full-time position, consisting of 40 hours a week and the shift pattern includes a weekend rota of 1 in 4 full weekends.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of up to £28,000 p/a (DOE) and benefits that include:

  • Generous CPD allowance and in-house CPD available
  • Ongoing training is provided as relevant to your role
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • 5 weeks paid annual leave
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
  • A friendly, supportive environment within a rewarding role
  • And much more!
