We are working with a fantastic practice in Fort Kinnaird that is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their established and friendly team on a permanent basis. Our client is seeking an experienced full-time veterinary surgeon with a surgical bias to join their established and friendly team. 

The Practice: 

Our client has a bright, air-conditioned surgery that is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment. The team is looking for the ideal candidate who wants really wants to make a difference, join a team that pays attention to detail and strives for a high level of patient and client care.

The current team is made up of five Veterinary Surgeons, including the practice owner, five nurses, and a support team that is all committed to bringing their clients affordable, high-quality care via a modern, well-equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, and ultrasound. Plus, on-site car parking too!

The Role: 

This is a full-time permanent position, where you will be working 40 hours per week with weekends on a rota basis of 1 in 3 (the practice is open both Saturday and Sunday). There are no out of hours requirements, ensuring a fantastic work/life balance.

Your duties will include:

  • Carry out consultations independently (15 min)
  • Develop own caseload work with clients and insurance companies to work cases up to a high level
  • Conduct routine surgical procedures for cats, dogs, and rabbits
  • Perform dental with the help of dental radiography and be able to carry out surgical extractions.
  • Perform more extensive soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
  • Be able to help the smooth running of the day with colleagues
  • Support other vets as well as student nurses
  • Taking sole charge on occasion

The Candidate: 

Our client is seeking an experienced full-time veterinary surgeon with a surgical bias to join their established and friendly team. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service to clients and be able to work up cases to a high standard. The role requires support for student nurses as well as mentoring less experienced vets, especially in surgery. They are a team dedicated to providing the best care for patients 7 days a week and they pride themselves on the health plan engagement, client care, and communication.
