We are working with a mixed animal practice in Dover, Kent that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 6 months post-graduate experience, however, they will also consider recent graduates who have an interest in exotics/wildlife/zoo work. This is a full-time permanent position within a mixed practice where you will see a varied caseload (small animal, exotics, farm, zoo work, wildlife), so the ideal candidate will have an interest and/or experience in one or more of these areas.

This is a 6 vet practice that is part of 4 local branch surgeries based along with Kent coast. These practices boast truly mixed caseload comprising of small animals, exotics, farm, zoo work and plenty of wildlife! The practice is also involved in community projects and work with the RSPCA.

The Role and Candidate:

This role will be based at the Dover practice, which is the main practice, however, this role covers consulting duties at 3 other local branches, which are a mere 10-15 minutes away from the main practice.

The successful candidate will work 45 hours a week over 5 days, Monday - Friday 09:00-18:00. This shift pattern includes 1:5 weekends. You will be on-call from Friday evening (19:00) until Monday morning (09:00). You are required to attend the practice on Saturday (09:00-13:00) and Sunday (09:30-10:00) to cover the drop-in clinic.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:
