We are working with a well-established veterinary practice in the Syston area of Leicestershire that is looking for an experienced confident Veterinary Surgeon to join them as their Lead Vet. This full-time role is permanent and would suit a vet that has a very high standard both medically and surgically and has the drive and ambition to develop this practice further.

The Practice:

This practice has a very long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service that is provided. The practice has a fully supportive team that enjoy lots of laughs and are dedicated to their clients and patients. The practice has been newly refurbished, fully equipped with prep and dental area, operating theatre, lab, x-ray, ultrasound, separate kennels and cattery, and wheelchair access.

Our clients' mission is to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent position, with the exact working pattern to be discussed at the interview.

You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' postgraduate small animal practice experience. This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a sole charge environment with the ability to make sound clinical judgment. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part in the team.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • Salary up to £55,000 p/a dependent on experience
  • £6,600 accommodation allowance
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
