We are working with a practice in Newtown, West Midlands, who is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. This position is for a Lead Veterinary surgeon to lead a team of one other vet, one RVN, and a receptionist.

The practice is a 10-minute walk from various shops, cafes, supermarkets, lots of places to eat and much more. The branch is very accessible with Newtown train station a 10-minute walk from the practice and only a few minutes' drives from the main roads. The Newtown area forms part of the breathtaking Welsh countryside with ample opportunities for active outdoor pursuits and close proximity to the coast.
This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week over 4 days giving you a great work/life balance. A weekend rota of 1 in 3 half or 1 in 6 full and there are no out of hours involved with this role. This is an exciting opportunity suited to a motivated and experienced vet. You will be leading a friendly team of one other veterinary surgeon, one veterinary nurse, and a receptionist. Practice facilities include digital x-ray, lab equipment, prep area, and equipped theatre. You will be exposed to a varied and interesting caseload in this clinic.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of small animal experience and confidence in sole charge occasionally. You must have a client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills, work to a high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.
