We are currently working with an independent practice in Chorley, Lancashire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis from 1st March 2020. This is a sleeping night role where you will be working overnight in a sole charge role.

The Practice:

The purpose-built well-equipped hospital has all the usual facilities (digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, tonometry and in house lab + technician) in an ideal location with proximity to both Manchester and Liverpool cities, but also the Lake District and North Wales for any outdoor activity/walking enthusiasts.

As well as the animal hospital they have two branch practices, allowing them to provide the same high standards at more convenient locations for their clients and animals.

The team at this practice works together well, they socialise and respect each other's talents and professional approach. They currently have 2 certificate holders (orthopaedics and internal medicine) with a further 3 doing certificates at the moment, they also have many more qualified and experienced vets and nurses in the team.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse that is experienced with night work and comfortable working on their own in sole charge capacity. This is a sleeping night RVN role where you will be working shifts Monday-Thursday 20:00-08:00.

The shift breaks down as follows, 20:00-23:00 active inpatient checks 23:00-08:00 would be a 'sleeping period' (in practice) where you would be on-call for any call ou or inpatient requirements. At 08:00 you would then give a full hand over to the day team.

It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have experience and skills in inpatient care and ward duties.
