We are working with a practice in Abingdon, Oxfordshire that is looking for an enthusiastic small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This Clinical Director role would suit an experienced Vet that has strong leadership skills.
This is an established practice that provides the highest quality veterinary services to their clients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This well-established practice is one of five in the group and is the primary centre for surgery.
The practice offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services.
This is a full-time permanent role that will include a rota of some weekend work – approx. 1 full weekend and 1 full Saturday in 7. There are no out of hours requirements as they have a dedicated team for that.
As part of this group, you will be offered an extensive training program for the Leadership course, full administration support is assured. They can also offer practice accommodation (if required).
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, and be forward-thinking. They will also be expected to be able to cover any of our branch surgeries – Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, and Wantage. Preferably, post-graduate experience within a small animal practice and an interest in surgery would be an advantage but is not essential.
