We are currently working with a long-established, independent veterinary practice that has been successfully caring and serving the community in North East Essex and along the South Suffolk border for many years. They are looking to recruit a full time permanent small animal veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated and caring team.
Our client can trace the origins of their practice back to the first half of the nineteenth century. Since then it has grown and now has two local branches. This is an RCVS accredited, independent, first opinion practice which has 3 directors plus a further 12 skilled vets who between them have a wealth of skills and experience. They also have a team of 14 nurses plus strong support staff split across their two sites. Their facilities include X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory, ECG, dentistry, endoscopy and state of the art Class IV therapeutic laser.
This is a permanent full-time post working 4 days per week. They have a six-week rota that includes a night of on-call each week for 5 weeks out of 6 and a weekend rota which has 4 weekends off in 6. Duties are split between consults and surgery and as they have a large experienced team there is no sole charge required. In return, our client is offering a salary and benefits package, dependent on experience, including:-
- 25 days holiday increasing with length of service
- Birthday off
- Certificate would be supported
- Relocation package
- Private medical insurance
- BVA membership
- Cycle to work scheme
The candidate will have at least 2 years’ post-graduate veterinary experience, be enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious, with a willingness to learn as the practice is fully committed to supporting growth and development. You should be passionate about delivering quality veterinary care to all of your patients, be a good team player and have strong communication skills.
